I one time appliquéd hearts over a damaged quilt I'd made for Leiya. It just kinda creeps up on a house without the residents even being aware of it. In fact, that reminds us to get out our Swiffer mop and get to work on these floors, LOL ! 😀😀😀 Hugs and blessings to you, from Marina and Daryl LynnQuilt Inspirationhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11976052222538291847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5175671672721833449.post-1596783070718172892017-05-07T11:14:20.510-07:002017-05-07T11:14:20.510-07:00I find that Ohio star quilt quite inspirational.I find that Ohio star quilt quite inspirational.Quayquilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07563998466278656599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5175671672721833449.post-87052423093598413032017-05-06T05:58:00.043-07:002017-05-06T05:58:00.043-07:00Nice quilt! I put them in a 'safe' place, then can't find the safe place again.Cheryl's Teapots2Quiltinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01005480747596617459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5175671672721833449.post-57515239509004613312017-05-05T23:22:53.591-07:002017-05-05T23:22:53.591-07:00I do enjoy all the different festivals you mention...I do enjoy all the different festivals you mention and how they are celebrated. It is nice for you to have only the double sided banner to display rather than all the dolls and ornaments for Girl's and Boy's Day.
I put my carp streamers away the first thing I did this morning (May 6th) until next year. I guess these days so many families go away for Golden Week, they don't want to fly the carps any longer.
To save the Ohio Star quilt, I'd either replace the weak points with appliqué or stitch a thin net on top of those parts.
Subtracting one's age after 50... hm, that's an idea I need to think about.Queeniepatchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13281330411053716603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5175671672721833449.post-83421084139230659922017-05-05T15:54:09.047-07:002017-05-05T15:54:09.047-07:00I love your quilt and the vintage fabrics, that is...I love your quilt and the vintage fabrics, that is gorgeous and such a treasure.
The banner is a nice piece filled with memories. I would applique another fabric over the worn spots - it might be newer fabric but if the color works, it probably wouldn't be that noticeable - and should protect the worn spots from further damage. Dust - if you ever find a solution - please share - I need a sign - "Please don't write in my dust." - ;))A Left-Handed Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01145550105234839991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5175671672721833449.post-2682482479561165392017-05-05T11:44:43.525-07:002017-05-05T11:44:43.525-07:00A beautiful quilt in blues.
