Daikan

Yesterday was "Daikan". Tanya wrote a great post explaining the "Great Cold". Actually, yesterday was nice and sunny and really didn't get down to freezing until I was safely in bed and under the covers. Today, however, is another story, gray and gloomy, cold and drizzly. Nikko is curled up less than a foot from the space heater and blogger must have heard my focus word for the year is "Patience" because it is testing me beyond imagination.

I have now wasted the better part of the day trying to post one of five pictures selected to show my blogging friends. NO WAY !!!

I will report that the runner now has a binding and I have added hanging sleeve just in case.
I really wanted to get your opinion on the few empty areas. I had thought to quilt in a few leaves and vines with dark blue thread but a friend who saw it while I was working thought it didn't need anything more. True, the thinsulate is made for use in clothing and probably won't shift even in a fairly wide area.

Well, I still have a week to add stitches. Maybe blogger will be a bit more cooperative now that I am giving up for the day. We shall be patient and see if that helps!

  1. Julie, hope you manage to get the photos sorted. Nikko is doing the right thing curled up at the heat. We have been lucky and haven't had any of the snow that the rest of Ireland has but it is very cold and we're all huddled around the fire.

  2. Julie I learned long ago not to pray for patience. To get it you must practice it and to practice it you must have something that tries it. :) blessings, marlene

  3. Internet Explorer as your browser may be the issue; I switched to Google Chrome and have had no further issues with Blogspot, especially uploading photos. Stay warm!

  4. Such frustrations when something won't work - but then all of a sudden they do start working. I tend to agree about IE - it louses up my computer so bad I have to take it in to be serviced if I unfortunately let IE start up. I've hated it since the day it first came into being - I can't believe that anyone uses it. I use Google Chrome - used to use Firefox until the internet wars started and now it is so complicated that I just don't bother. Why can't they leave well enough alone - don't they already make zillions of dollars? When is enough enough?

  5. The cold this year is the worst that i can remember or I am just getting old and it bothers me more, lol. I think it is computer problem year, mine is acting up too and I need to clean her out and see if I can get her running more smoothly.

  10. I have to vote for Google Chrome too, but I understand the problems with changing things on computers. Blogger doesn't give me any grief. Maybe it has to do with where you store your pictures in your computer. Remembering the cold rainy weather in Tokyo in January. Usually during Dome Show Week. Chin up this too shall pass.
